The Controversy surrounding Silver State Helicopters Whether or not you choose to train at SSH is certainly up to you however you should at least take time to research as much as possible about any school which you are thinking of attending. I don't think much of false information regardless of where it is coming from. Many flight schools try to sway students in their direction; they will take in many thousands of dollars from any student who attends. There is never an excuse to intentionally spread false information though (we call that lies in the rest of the world). SSH claims of competitors pricing and student care are largely false; as well as some information regarding the average salaries of helicopter pilots, and much more. I urge great caution and much research before enrolling in any program where you will trust the control of a large sum of money to anyone who does not clearly demonstrate to you in advance how it will be used. Aside from visiting their web site, check out several other schools. The links below will take you to much information about those who claim to have been scammed by Silver State Helicopters. Also, the contract link will take you to a discussion of excerpts from an actual copy of a Silver State Helicopters contract (coming soon). If after researching this school, and you still go, you have nothing to complain about if you get scammed. Don't sign the contract without reading it, it is full of Silver State protection while you lose control of your money! If you feel that you have been scammed, and you can not afford an attorney since you have given everything you have to Silver State Helicopters, Call and write you congressmen and senators repeatedly. DO NOT USE EMAIL They carry no weight at all; letters and phone calls on the other hand will get attention and they will get it fast. You can use your search engine to locate contact information for public officials. Call all levels including Federal, State, and local. This is your free recourse to being scammed.
