Ground Resonance
This accident was
the result of a hard landing from a hover in a Eurocopter Twin Star. This
represents the hazard of Ground Resonance, and the result of failing to execute
the proper corrective action. Although most Ground Resonance accidents are from
lower time pilots, this was an experienced former military pilot who's flight
time was nearly all in multi-blade aircraft.
